Meet our board members
We are a registered charity in Kingston, Ontario founded by musician, Wally High, in memory of his friend and band member, the late Joe Chithalen, who was a talented bass player in several well-known Kingston bands. Joe’s M.I.L.L. operates in tribute to Joe’s love of music, so that anyone who wants to can enjoy playing music as much as he did.

Our Lending Library
Loans are available to anyone who is a current resident of Kingston and surrounding area, in a 50 km radius from the M.I.L.L. (please call ahead if you are unsure if your area qualifies.)
You will need to bring the following three items when you come in to register:
-
Photo ID showing date of birth
-
Document from the last 30 days showing current residential address, such as a utility bill or online shopping receipt. It can be physical or digital.
-
A registration recovery of $25 which helps offset increasing operating costs. The library accepts cash, debit, credit, and cheques. There are, as always, no charges or fees to borrow an instrument.
Borrower’s cards are valid for one year.
The borrowing period is 4 weeks (28 days) after which the instrument must be returned.
If you are involved with an organization that would like to borrow instruments from Joe’s M.I.L.L., please ask about our organization-specific borrower cards (“ORG cards”).
