Calling all gently used instruments: Give music a new life at Joe's Music Mill!

Do you have a musical instrument gathering dust in a corner of your home? Perhaps it's tucked away in a closet, a relic from your child's school band days or an heirloom you've inherited but never learned to play. If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to breathe new life into these silent instruments and help make a significant impact in someone's life.

Joe's Music Mill is a registered charity on a mission to make music accessible to everyone , believing deeply in its power to transform lives. The Power of Music

At Joe's Music Mill, we've seen firsthand the transformative effect music can have. Learning to play an instrument can boost cognitive skills, enhance academic outcomes, and improve mental health. It's not just about notes and rhythms; it's about fostering creativity, inclusivity, and community - as encapsulated by the words of Joe Chithalen, , "Wouldn't it be great if everybody had the opportunity to play a musical instrument?"

How to Donate

Donating is simple. We are specifically looking for trumpets, trombones, flutes, saxophones, and clarinets in good working order. Due to our space constraints, we cannot accept drum sets at this time.

Before bringing your instrument in, please email us at to confirm that the instrument is in good shape. This will help us organize the intake of donations and ensure we are not overwhelmed all at once. Additionally, any donation assessed to be worth more than $20 can receive a tax receipt.
