    • “K Biz Rocks” Battle of the Business Bands Event

      • Joe’s Music Mill is planning to launch a “Battle of the Bands” charity event for the Kingston business community. The aim of the event is to engage and unite staff within their various workplaces through live music while supporting Joe’s Music Mill: a local non-profit committed to increasing accessibility and opportunity to musical instruments and education in Kingston.

      •  Each business would be invited to field a band from within their team to take the stage at an exciting play-off concert/party in the late Fall) of 2026.

      • A Battle of the Bands is a musical competition where multiple bands perform live sets to compete for the title of "best band," judged by audience votes and or a panel, with winners often receiving prizes like cash, gig time, or trophies, showcasing local talent in an energetic live event format. It's a popular event for building staff engagement and morale.  It is a fun rivalry amongst Kingston businesses delivering all the benefits that making music can deliver.

    Workplace Music Team Building Program

    • Now in its development phase, this one-hour program reinforces core team-building principles like cooperation, respect for differences, and most importantly what can happen when people are literally in tune with each other! Bringing up to 10 team members together for a fun, simple lesson that starts with simple chords and ends up playing songs together, this is a break from the norm that staff appreciate, and that reinforces team values, cooperation, and the importance of harmony.
