I began playing trumpet at the age of 12 when I started in my schools grade 7 music program. I then later continued in high school on trumpet and French horn and started trumpet lessons while in grade 12. I later studied at St. Lawrence College on Kingston, Ontario for the Music and Digital Media program. I found my love of teaching while nearing the middle of my Bachelor of music program at Queen’s while studying trumpet and played in the jazz ensemble, orchestra and wind ensembles. I played for Sunday church services at Wolfe Island for Hiky Trinity Church and played for other services like Easter and Remembrance day for different communities in Kingston and Wolfe Island.

I worked at Joes mill as a music lending librarian from 2018-2020 before I began my teaching career with the CDSBEO. I also taught online beginner trumpet lessons for a year while covid was ongoing. I now teach full time as a supply and long term occasional teacher in the CDSBEO. I also play in the community band in Perth for the upcoming musical Annie which will take place November 2026.

Music has always been a big part of my life and I want to share my knowledge and love for life through lessons with my students. When I’m not involved in teaching, I’m an avid soccer player and play full time on Sunday evenings as a keeper and sub on defence on occasion. I live in Perth with my husband and twin boys and our cat Addie.
